Gundog & Scentwork Training
New for 2026.
Gundog and Scentwork training as either 1-1s or as classes.
Both gundog and scentwork have a separate foundation course which is 4 weeks. This covers the basics of either gundog/scentwork. From there ongoing classes are once a month and dates are shown below.
Gundog
Gundog Training cover the basic foundations of gundog for all dogs. These classes are suitable for all dogs whether they are happy around other dogs or not.
The workshops cover skills and understanding of gundog to include:
🐾 How to build a retrieve and use of gundog dummies
🐾Building boundary training and how that helps build desire, steadiness and control
🐾Building desire and motivation of retrieval
🐾Use of directional whistle cues and tapping into a dogs natural retrieval insticts.
🐾Use of gundog in behavioural modification and how it can help with various behavioural struggles, such as anxiety, reactivity, aggression and over-arousal.
Gundog Foundation: 4 weeks (must be completed first)
Ongoing Gundog Classes: Once a month

Scentwork
Scentwork Training cover the basic foundations of scentwork for all dogs. These scentwork classes are suitable for all dogs whether they are happy around other dogs or not.
The workshops cover skills and understanding of scentwork to include:
🐾 How to build coin indication and use of a tin to build indication
🐾Building boundary training and how that helps build desire
🐾Contamination of odour and how to avoid as much contamination as possible
🐾Adding difficulty to the searches including, blind, elevated and multiple searches
🐾Use of scentwork in behavioural modification and how it can help with various behavioural struggles, such as anxiety, reactivity, aggression and over-arousal.
Scentwork Foundation: 4 weeks (must be completed first)
Ongoing Scentwork Classes: Once a month
